ULTRA RARE. This is an original painting from 1972 of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi by famed Burmese painter Paw Oo Thet. To be seen right side up this piece hangs in the shape of a diamond. It is a traditional image of Lakshmi holding a lotus flower. She is also coming out of another larger lotus flower that is below her body. From what we can tell this painting is 100% genuine. Paw Oo Thet was highly regarded and is credited with starting multiple movements in Burma. His last three original paintings that we've come across have sold for $5,999, $7,999 and $5,999.
